In fact, it combines the thrill and adrenaline of driving a real sled pulled by Nordic dogs, feeling like a real musher, with the enchantment and magic of the winter mountains, since the entire route winds through a snowy forest nestled in the Alps of Valtellina, in a fairy-tale landscape.

The husky sled ride is an experience for couples, but each participant takes part individually, albeit within the same group led by an instructor: each is responsible for leading his or her own sled by issuing simple voice commands to his or her team of dogs.  Alternatively, you can take part in the excursion by traveling transported on the instructor-led sled, equally enjoying the views and the experience. And at the end you can  get to know your husky team and pet them.

Sleddog with huskies is the perfect experience for families looking for an alternative activity to skiing during their winter vacation in Valtellina: the Husky Village is easily and quickly reached from Bormio and Livigno, the main ski resorts in Lombardy, and here you can experience a different day from the usual one that children will remember for a long time. In fact, who would not want to travel aboard an authentic wooden sled pulled through the snow by a team of real huskies? Children under 13 are comfortably transported on the sled driven by an instructor, in complete safety, admiring from a privileged position the spectacle of the dogs having fun running through the woods, while those over 13 can make the experience even more exciting by driving the sled themselves. Parents can also take part in the excursion, leading a sled or being transported within the same group as their children, and they too can become a little bit of a child again while having fun in the snow.

At the end of the sled ride, there is also a special moment for young and old alike, during which you can pet the huskies and become familiar with our animals, discovering their more playful and affectionate side.

Sleddog for groups and companies

Not only couples and families: sleddog is also a perfect group experience to try in Alta Valtellina. We often host more or less large groups of friends or people traveling together for mountain vacations who wish to try new fun activities in the snow: everyone positions themselves with their own sled and husky team within the group headed by an instructor and at the start travels a 5 km route through the snowy forest guiding the dogs with the appropriate voice commands, a short distance from their fellow adventurers, and testing their skills. At the end of the trail, each participant will be able to see himself or herself again in pictures taken by a professional photographer during the ride, which will then be given to each person in digital format.

At Husky Village we also organize team building activities for corporate groups: sleddog excursions in the company of colleagues, with the opportunity to challenge each other in specially prepared tests and games along the way, to improve team spirit and sharpen personal leadership skills.
